I owe a lot to Alison Wynne-Ryder. She’s the reason I do what I do now, and over the years, she’s become a close friend, as well as my teacher and mentor. Without Alison, The Soul Cave wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t be living my dream life as an author, healer, Angel Guide and spiritual coach. So I was absolutely delighted when her second book, Discover the Angels, was recently published.
It’s taken Alison a while to write this one, as life got in the way a bit, but it’s absolutely worth the 12 year wait since her best-selling debut, The Quirky Medium, was published. Alison is a great advocate for the Angels, and in this book, she not only tells us all about these magical beings of light, she skilfully weaves in real life tales of angelic intervention. It’s educational and inspirational in equal measure, and written in such a flowing, conversational style, I devoured it in one sitting.

If you don’t know much about the Angels and how the afterlife works, you certainly will by the time you put this book down. And even if you work with Angels every day, as Alison and myself do, you’ll still find surprises in these pages. I think my favourite bits, though, are when Alison talks about her beloved husband John, and how, since his passing to Spirit two years ago, he’s found ways to comfort and reassure her, just as he promised to. And the support of her beloved Angels when she needed it most has helped her process her grief and live in joy once again.
Alison writes about this movingly, and like all good spiritual writers, she uses her own experiences to help others navigate similar challenges, without attempting to influence your thinking or beliefs. Her own faith in Spirit and the Angels shines through, and if you’re seeking to learn more about the world beyond what we know, Discover the Angels will absolutely help with that. Alison includes lots of tips to deepen your own spiritual connection, and there are some beautiful meditations, designed to help you connect with the Angels whenever you feel the need to.

The Angels are not remote, other-worldly beings to be placed on pedestals and worshipped, although they are certainly awe-inspiring. They can be our friends and confidants, and support us through our challenges, but we have to make the first move and invite them into our lives. Then the magic truly begins, and miracles can happen. Alison demystifies the Angelic Realm, and shows us how we, too, can Discover the Angels. This book is already a trusted friend, and I know I’ll return to it again and again.
