These days, you don’t need to kneel by the bed, hands together, eyes closed to pray. Nor do you need specific words. In fact, now we are more familiar with the way energy works, we recognise that thoughts, too, are energy. If we send our prayers as thoughts into the Universe, they will be heard and, more importantly, answered. We don’t need the window dressing of specific words or a special time or place to pray; we can do it wherever we are, whenever we want.
That said, if you want your prayers to be answered, they must be presented in a positive way. Under the Law of Attraction, and because of the way energy works, what we put out is what we attract into our lives. Not so long ago, we might have prayed for Aunt Ethel to be out of pain from her dodgy knee, then congratulated ourselves on a job well done as we waited for a miracle. The trouble is, that comes across to the Universe as a negative thought, and it’s likely to bring down even more discomfort on poor Aunt Ethel. We need to remember that talking about pain comes from the energy of fear and lack. To keep our prayers positive, and demonstrate our faith that they will be answered, we have to turn things around, and pray like we already have what we want.
How do we do that? By being grateful, that’s how. So, if I were praying for Aunt Ethel’s knees tonight, I would call on Archangel Raphael, the Angel of Healing, and I’d say, ‘Thank you Archangel Raphael for granting Aunt Ethel the gift of a healthy body. I am so grateful that she is mobile, happy and healthy.’ Not a word about pain – just the faith and belief that Raphael will sort things. Then I’d visualise Aunt Ethel walking with me in the countryside, or doing the conga at a family party, all knee problems suitably resolved.
If you’re praying for better circumstances for yourself, don’t say, ‘Please help me find a better job so I won’t be so short of money,’ because that’s not a positive prayer. Instead, say ‘Thank you angels for providing me with all I need to live in comfort and happiness.’ Then visualise yourself doing the things you would do if you had the better paying job.
Don’t get me wrong – I am not trivialising anyone’s difficulties here, and I know things are not often so easily resolved. The point is, positive prayer lets you view life from a different perspective. By being grateful for what you have, and expecting your life to improve, you are not trapped in the negative energy of lack. If you focus on not having enough money, or being in pain, you will attract more of the same into your life. However, if you are grateful for your life as it is now – warts and all – you will be happier, and you will attract more good things into your life. Does that make sense?
I don’t take any credit for this revolutionary way to pray – I learned of it while I was doing my Certified Angel Guide training with Kyle Gray. If you haven’t come across him yet, I recommend checking him out. He’s a best-selling author, Angel card deck creator and Angel Expert, and he’s taught me so much about Angels and spirituality. Give Positive Prayer a try – it will change your life in ways you never thought possible. Love and blessings.
